This beautiful city began its tale when gold was discovered in Colorado in the 1850's in what is known today as the Ralston Creek. As miners began to gather around the place, some people realized that they could sell crops to the miners. Soon after, a small farming community grew between the Ralston and Clear Creeks, known as the Ralston point. It was once known as the Celery Capitol of the World. With the construction of a railroad near the community, pretty soon, the town of Arvada was born. After its incorporation in October 24, 1904, it became a thriving business area.
